ABOUT THE PROJECT


The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and SNC-Lavalin. Shoreline Power Group will be completing the Fuel Channel and Feeder Replacement (FCFR) project. The joint venture has been awarded a contract by Bruce Power to execute the Unit 6 and Unit 3 FCFR at the Bruce Nuclear Generating Station in Kincardine, Ontario. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064, the project is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program to replace the main components of the reactor. Unit 6 is the first of six reactors being replaced by Bruce Power through the MCR program. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders for Unit 6 and Unit 3, as well as construction management and trade labor.


PURPOSE OF THE POSITION


The Onboarding Coordinator will report to the Series Training/Onboarding Manager and will work with the onboarding team to deliver a positive and effective onboarding experience for the workforce. The Onboarding Coordinator will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating training events.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING


  • Maintain the Worker Readiness Matrix (includes project training matrix).
  • Prepare, coordinate, and schedule delivery of the project required training which includes client requirements, safety, supervisor, project specific and quality related training to ensure employees are compliant with the training required for their position.
  • Use Learning Management Systems for reporting, create course offerings, roster, and provide credits to participants.
  • Source, coordinate, and schedule new hire orientation.
  • Create onboarding training schedule.
  • Monitor and follow up on the completion of onboarding training requirements (Bruce Power and Shoreline).
  • Provide qualification report and coordinate new hire turnover to field supervision.
  • Schedule, monitor and follow-up on Bruce Power and Shoreline requalification training completion.
  • Assist with Bruce Power Security Clearance administration as required.
  • Monitor and maintain records/qualifications in the Learning Management Systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU


  • Post-secondary school education in a related field.
  • Experience in an office environment, preferably in a human resource and or training role.
  • Knowledge of office methods, process & procedures, equipment and filing systems.
  • Experience with Success Factors Learning Management System and or TIMS would be an asset.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Problem solving, planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, work to timelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills – both verbal and written.
  • Extremely detail oriented.

Those with a valid Bruce Power security clearance are strongly preferred.
