Application Support Analyst (Oracle Fusion Cloud)

Description:
Our client in the public sector is seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst for a 9-month contract term of employment for their Oracle Cloud Fusion Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) implementation. The successful candidate will work with the Business Support Services (BSS) branch and provide advice and support to application owners. This role will require 20-35 hours of dedicated time per week, and the successful candidate will be permitted to take on work outside of the client, so long as the candidate is available for all meetings and completes all tasks on time.
Responsibilities:
-Ensure the stability of financial business operations by providing Oracle ERP system support when issues arise.
-Enable the Business Excellence branch to achieve its workplan objectives for the year by providing support with system issues and workplan objectives.
-Improve adoption of the application by key stakeholders through improved stakeholder confidence in the capability of the application as well as confidence in their ability to administer the application.
-Support the client in developing a more thorough and complete understanding of some of the more complex or inter-connected topics in the operational use of Orace ERP application modules.
-System issue troubleshooting/investigation.
-Advise on business process changes if/when required to conform to system design/intended usage.
-Research and advise issue solution options.
-Implement and test issue solutions.
-Update configuration documentation.
-Prepare issue resolution synopses.
-Research and advise on options related to desired system improvement opportunities.
-Implement and test desired system improvements.
-Research, compile, and document various Oracle knowledge topics.
-Collaborate with County stakeholders and 3rd party Application Support vendors.
-Submit and manage Oracle Support Requests (SRs).
-Provide light/limited training to business process SMEs.
Requirements:
-4 years’ experience working in Oracle ERP Financial Management and Project Management modules including: GL, CoA, budgetary controls, AP, AR, expense management, cash management, grants, project/PPM (project cost accounting/financial management), fixed assets, OTBI, workflows, and scheduled processes.
-Defect management experience including logging, responding, resolving, and communication of tickets within software development or product quality management of applications.
-Experience with municipal government Oracle applications required.
-Experience in Oracle Fusion Enterprise Performance management (EPM) is desirable but not required.
-Training and/or experience in financial management and accounting is desirable but not required.
-Personal computer with Microsoft Office 365.
-Eligible to work in Canada.
