Norwood Sawmills is a global leader in portable sawmills and is looking for a Material Handler to join our Order Fulfillment team! Reporting to the Order Fulfillment Team Leader, you will safely and efficiently operate a Forklift and/or Raymond Reach Truck to move materials, products, and equipment through the warehouse. When you are not operating a Forklift, you will be hands-on picking, packing, and processing courier shipments, customer order pick-ups, and stock transfers between Norwood locations.
What you bring to the team:
- You hold a valid Forklift license; Raymond Reach License considered an asset.
- 2+ years of experience in safe Material Handling practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking, packing, and documentation.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and Order Fulfillment processes.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

A typical day for the Material Handler on the Order Fulfillment team!
- Safely operate a Forklift and/or Raymond Reach to transport materials and products within the warehouse.
- Pick and pack products according to order specifications, ensuring items are correctly labeled and packaged.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and shelves using the forklift.
- Efficiently package Customer and Dealer orders to protect them from damage during transportation.
- Organize and stage completed orders for shipping or delivery, maintaining order and cleanliness in the staging area.
- Complete necessary paperwork, such as shipping labels, packing slips, and order documentation.
- Look for new ways to improve efficiency, packaging quality, inspections/quality-control, preservation of part quality and improve safety, and communicate to superiors your suggestions.
