Outdoor Spring/Summer Children's Soccer Coach

Currently seeking candidates available to work our upcoming Outdoor Spring and Summer 2024 season.

We are looking forreliable, energetic, andengaging Soccer Coaches to work part-time 6-20 hours per week. If you are passionate about working with children and being active, this is the ideal job for you!

About Us: For over 20 years, Little Kickers has been the #1 Children's Soccer Program around the globe, providing young children 18 months to 7 years with a positive introduction to sport via soccer. Our age-appropriate soccer skills and games are taught in a fun and non-competitive environment. Coaches employ their imagination and creativity to deliver the lessons in an engaging and playful atmosphere. Teachers or those enrolled in the ECE program, actors, soccer players and coaches would be the perfect fit for Little Kickers. All training is provided and paid.

Compensation: Starting wage is $17/hour (assistant coach/training), with opportunities for fast advancement and pay raise (lead coach) for those that qualify.
Schedule: This role is part-time with a consistent weekly schedule. We offer 6-20 hours per week.

Requirements:

• Experience working with young children.
• Saturday morning shifts are mandatory, including some long weekends if scheduled.
• Must be able to work consistently at least one more assigned shift per week: Sunday mornings and/or weeknights from 5 to 8 pm. Ability to commit to additional shifts is an advantage.
• Reliable and able to commit to working every week with limited vacation requests.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and outgoing personality who enjoys working with children, parents, and co-workers.
• Able to be playful, fun, and imaginative with children.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with children, deliver feedback to parents, and communicate with the management in a timely manner.
• High energy individual who is physically fit and able to coach soccer skills/games with young children for 3-4 hours per shift. Ability to lift and carry equipment bag 30-50 lbs required.
• Candidates must have their own, reliable method of transportation. Some Coaches will be responsible for transporting and storing an equipment kit.
• Soccer playing and coaching experience is an asset.

We hold classes at multiple fields in each of the following cities and towns:

• Oakville
• Milton
• Georgetown
• West Mississauga

• Remote interview process is the next step.
• Training starts in April (online and/or in-person training options). Outdoor season starts in mid-May.
• Please specify if you live locally during the year and are able to start in-person training sooner than April, because we have opportunities to start immediately (indoors) and continue into the fall/year-round.

Upon Hire the following will be required:
- Valid criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Screening for those 18 years and older
- Valid First Aid certification (or able to obtain within first month of employment)
- Two character references
