Overnight Doughnut Artisans work through the night to make the dough that serves as the base for our delectable doughnuts. They are responsible for making yeast, cake and gluten friendly dough batches according to daily production lists and making adjustments based on kitchen conditions; cutting the dough into either filled, ring, fritter/cinnamon bun, extra large or custom order shapes; monitoring the doughnut proofer to ensure the dough is properly risen; cleaning/dishes as required; refilling ingredient containers; and frying doughnuts on a rare occasion.
Candidates should possess the following qualifications/qualities:
-Previous commercial bread or doughnut making experience required;
-Organized and consistent with attention to detail and the ability to retain and recall information;
-Ability to follow production lists;
-Pro-active and able to think critically;
-Strong multitasking skills;
-Ability to work under pressure;
-Knowledge of proper food handling procedures;
-Food handlers certificate an asset;
-Great communication skills;
-Willing to work overnight (9pm - 11pm start time, 7-8 hour shifts);
-Able to lift 50lbs and perform physically demanding work;
-Loves (or strongly likes) doughnuts;
-Punctual and possesses a sense of urgency;
-Fun and positive attitude;
-Reliable, dependable, respectful and accepting of diversity;
-Has reliable transportation.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $17.50-$21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 22 – 40 per week
