Overnight Baker-Full Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

To support all areas of the bakery operation per the direction of the Bakery Manager and/or the Assistant Bakery Manager;

To prepare, proof, bake, and finish quality bakery products as per Fortinos procedures and standards;

To assist in the ordering of department supplies and control the inventory level of product;

To assist in the training of new part-time staff;

To assist customers with any questions and maintain excellent customer service and relations;

To maintain quality standards as required in Fortino’s In-store Bakery

To ensure the sanitation and health and safety of the department meets with company standards;

Other duties, as required.

The Ideal Candidate Would Possess:

Experience with mixing equipment, par-bake, and bake-off is required;

Minimum of 5 years experience, as a qualified Baker/Decorator, preferably in a retail environment is an asset;

Prior experience working the Fortino’s bakery operation is essential;

Physical manual labour required, must be able to lift up to 50lbs working within safety guidelines, and able to stand for long periods of time;

Flexibility to work night shifts;

Individual to be self-motivated, able to work independently, and possess strong customer service abilities;

Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
