The Control Room Assistant is responsible for ensuring the preparation and provision of product in a timely manner and in accordance with the Company’s Quality Control Standards.

Control Room Assistant
- To accurately prepare mixes required for pellet production and bagging ensuring minimal suspension of operations.
- Liaise with colleagues responsible for ordering to ensure the timely delivery of product and ingredients.
- Prepare all “hand-add” ingredients.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Controller to ensure that medication inventory and bag medication inventory are taken on a daily basis.
- Verify precision of medication scales, when required.
- Identify and report differences in product weight, correcting where necessary.
- Ensure that feed is transferred to bins so as to avoid contamination.
- Perform system flush after medicated feed production.
- Monitor and record inventory, daily.
- Work with customers and suppliers in a courteous and professional manner.
· Comply with Feed Assure Program and company Health and Safety Procedures
- Complete all duties as assigned in Housekeeping Practices and Sanitation Process.
· Assist the Mill Supervisor with other duties as can be reasonably required
- Work additional hours to meet business demands.

- Report any equipment malfunctions immediately to the Supervisor, having secured the equipment;
- Wear personal protective equipment as approved;

Required Education and Qualifications
· High school diploma
· Warehouse experience is an asset
- A valid Class G license
· Clean criminal record check
· Forklift certification and experience in operating this equipment would be an asset
