Our growing team is always looking to add passionate and driven members to help entrepreneurs make their dreams a reality. Ownr is looking for an Insurance Agent to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly launched vertical within Ownr at the ground floor, and offer commercial/business insurance through Ownr’s innovative digital platform. As an integral part of the Ownr team, you will also be involved in all aspects of the insurance agency's operations including the marketing, strategies and process developments.
What Will You Do?
Provide answers to questions from Ownr clients about insurance policy options and renewals as it relates to commercial insurance products
Work with Ownr’s product team to continually provide feedback to improve insurance operations and processes
Work with external stakeholders, including underwriters and insurance carriers
Responsible for tracking and reporting on specific insurance key performance indicators and provide recommendations to implement business performance solutions
As a subject matter expert, contribute to the development of insurance marketing resources and content, and business development strategies
What Do You Need To Succeed?
Must have:
Ontario OTL or RIBO Insurance License(s)
Actively pursue continuous learning and expanding knowledge – (CIP designation or level 3 general license in Alberta & BC considered an asset)
Minimum 5 years’ experience as an underwriter, insurance agent or broker (commercial insurance experience would be helpful, but not necessary)
Ability to work in a self-directed manner and have strong time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with peers and senior management
