Packer Operator

Aecon Transportation West is looking for an experienced Packer Operator.

Required Skills:

• Maintains a valid Class 5 drivers license or better
• Provides own transportation to and from the job site
• Demonstrates the ability to operate the packing equipment with mechanical knowledge
• Knowledge of road construction
• Complete equipment checks

The ideal candidate will:

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.
• Report to work at the designated start time.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Be able to work overtime when required.
• Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.
• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Must comply with the company’s drug & alcohol program.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay
