About the Job:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Packing specialist at Mitrex is responsible for expertly packing glass products such as cladding and solar cladding, as well as receiving shipments. The role requires maintaining a positive cohesive relationship with the production team and supply chain managers to ensure maximum satisfaction for our customers with minimal cost impact.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement expert packing plans of glass and custom cladding materials for client delivery.
- Coordinate with the production team and supply chain managers to ensure smooth operations in shipping out and receiving in material.
- Manage quality control of materials received from vendors in receiving.
- Manage quality control of products shipped to site for clients.
- Communicate effectively with all in house production team, on site leader and project management team, regarding the best methods for packing and shipping processes per project.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of packed materials and shipments.
- Evaluate onsite receiving zone for best delivery practices.
- Created SOPs for custom deliveries and receiving practices
Candidate Qualifications:
- Proven experience in expert packing methods of large glass products
- Experience in glass shipping and logistics or window wall and curtain wall warehouse product shipping.
- Knowledge of packing techniques and materials for glass panels.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail and quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities utilizing the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
- Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian onsite material delivery best practices.
