Job Status: Regular part time positions / limited regular part time positions
Estimated Probable Duration (for limited positions): Up to seven (7) months
Number of Vacancies: Recruitment pool
Affiliation: Inside Unit
Hours of Work: Up to 48 hours bi-weekly
Shift Work Required: Yes (days, evenings, weekends)
Rate of Pay: Group 1 - $17.49 per hour
Resumes will be considered for both current and future vacancies and will be kept on file for six (6) months.
This position is not eligible to work remotely.
Characteristic Duties: Under the direct supervision of the Manager or Co-ordinator of library section or branch:
1. Shelve and file library materials.
2. Read and straighten shelves.
3. Shift books (i.e. major move or reorganization).
4. Retrieve periodicals.
5. Assist in preparing materials for withdrawal.
6. Pack and unpack boxes.
7. Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of CGS's Safety Manual and the applicable Provincial Legislation listed therein.
8. Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade X) Education.
- No experience necessary.
- Work with numbers and letters in sequence.
