About the role: Performs a variety of Ground Maintenance functions in support of all Municipal regional parks, trails, and green spaces throughout Colchester County. Maintenance work involves mowing, brush clearing, trimming bushes, whipper-snipping, and weeding.
Salary Range: $25.08 per hour and effective July 1st $25.83 per hour. Six-month term position.

Education & experience required:
· Completion of grade 12 education or GED equivalent.
· Experience in performing Ground Maintenance to include mowing, weeding, gardening, trimming, and maintenance of flower beds
· Experience and demonstrated ability in operating Ground Maintenance equipment to include ride-on-mowers, push mowers, whipper-snippers.
· Experience working with a work crew.
· Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, relevant to the provisions that apply to this work.
· Possess a valid class 5 Nova Scotia Drivers’ License and have access to a vehicle.
