CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Part-time Bookkeeper

Location: Toronto

Reports to: Vice President, Finance

Job Type: Permanent Part-time, 24-30 hours a week, Hybrid position. Required to be in studio approximately 1 day a week. We are flexible and open to creating a schedule that works for you.

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Wage, Benefits, Paid Vacation, and Personal Days.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly non-union production payroll
• Data Entry - Accounts Payables, Credit Card Reconciliations, and Bank Reconciliations
• Process intercompany bill-backs
• Compile information for production company audits and yearly financial audit
• Prepare and Review HST returns
• Book journal entries
• Filing and Scanning
• Other duties as may be required (mail, audit documentation gathering of files, etc.)

Educational /Technical Experience:

• Previous experience with media, film or television production accounting is an asset
• Minimum 3+ years in a production accounting or bookkeeper role
• Minimum 2+ years experience processing non-union payroll with a good working knowledge of the ESA, WSIB, and EHT.
• Previous experience with Quickbooks Desktop
• Must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Previous experience with multi-company/projects is an asset.
• Knowledge of CAVCO, OCASE and OPSTC Tax credits is an asset.
• Must have a strong attention to detail.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills.
• Self-confidence, self-starter, ability to multi-task, and think on your feet
• Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills at all levels (both verbal and written)
• Exceptional level of discretion and judgement with demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Proven record of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest levels
• Professional, positive, and friendly manner
