This position reports to:
Store Manager
Summary
This position is responsible for relationship building and selling indoor/outdoor furniture and accessories.
Core Accountabilities:
- Generate positive impressions during the shopping and buying experience by serving customers in a friendly, professional, and prompt manner.
- Follow up of all potential buyers through Dot Furniture’s customer management system.
- Provide customers with complete explanation of features, benefits, warranty policies, and assembly of products purchased.
- Achieve monthly sales goals.
- Completion of all product knowledge/safety courses thorough Dot University Programs.
- Support store operations by accurately and efficiently completing paperwork and POS transactions.
- Prepare/wrap/move/ assemble/disassemble product, in accordance to store policies prior to transport for customers.
- Assist in creating visual displays.
- Aid in general store/warehouse housekeeping.
- Assist in warehouse activities.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years sales or hospitality experience is an asset.
- Technologically proficient on POS sales register systems is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a commitment to sales objective.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, in order to resolve customer issues.
- Ability to multi task.
- Flexible schedule including the ability to work weekends and holiday shifts.
- Ability to lift/move product 50lbs and over, with provided tools.
- Work independently and be comfortable with assembling/disassembling of product.
- Flair for interior décor, is an asset.
