RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain and update employee information, such as records of employee for hourly and salary.
• Prepare and verify statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and source deductions.
• Complete and verify the information received from various locations and process all employee payroll related payments, including regular pay, benefit payments, and special payments such as bonuses and vacation pay.
• Reconcile Payroll GL accounts by various systems used for payments.
• Prepare payroll related filings and supporting documentation, such as year-end tax statements (T4), pension, Records of Employment (ROE) and other statements.
• Compile, review, and monitor statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to pay and hours reconciliation.
• Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies by communicating with various department heads.
• Perform duties in highly confidential manner.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-4 years payroll related experience
• Experience in Sage 50 or Payroll accounting software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
• Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills
• Excellent oral and strong written communication skills
• Highly professional and polite with a positive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $36,529.34-$62,209.15 per year
