In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Human Resources Department, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processes and Benefits administration. What You’ll Do:
Payroll:
- Review and confirm the accuracy of all payroll documentation and records
- Validate timesheet information and ensure accuracy of calculations
- Process statutory holiday pay and make adjustments to salaries and Benefits
- Prepare Record of Employment (ROE)
- Coordinate direct withdrawals, remittances, and deductions including those for benefits and RRSP
- Reconcile payroll entries, calculate and adjust accruals
- Provide comprehensive breakdown of payroll-related charges
- Process year-end filings and annual production of T4s and T2200
- Conduct annual audits of Payroll and HRMS records
- Assist with providing documentation to financial auditors
Benefits:
- Process benefits and RRSP applications in a timely fashion
- Answer inquiries about employee benefits plan and RRSP program
Reporting:
- Timely reconcilaition of statutory contributions
- Maintain attendance and vacation reporting
- Maintain headcount reporting
- Ad hoc reporting and trend analysis as required
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of payroll experience (processing for roughly 150+ employees)
- Experience with Payroll and HRMS system
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Gsuite and Microsoft Suite including Excel and Word
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Payroll designation (PCP)
- Benefits Administration experience
- Previous experience in manufacturing or production
- project management experience including data entry
