Our esteemed client, a market leader in manufacturing for over four decades, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a full-time permanent Payroll and Benefits Administrator. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Human Resources Department, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of payroll processes and Benefits administration. This role liaises with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do: 

Payroll: 

- Review and confirm the accuracy of all payroll documentation and records 

- Validate timesheet information and ensure accuracy of calculations 

- Process statutory holiday pay and make adjustments to salaries and Benefits 

- Prepare Record of Employment (ROE) 

- Coordinate direct withdrawals, remittances, and deductions including those for benefits and RRSP 

- Reconcile payroll entries, calculate and adjust accruals 

- Provide comprehensive breakdown of payroll-related charges 

- Process year-end filings and annual production of T4s and T2200 

- Conduct annual audits of Payroll and HRMS records 

- Assist with providing documentation to financial auditors 

Benefits: 

- Process benefits and RRSP applications in a timely fashion 

- Answer inquiries about employee benefits plan and RRSP program 

Reporting: 

- Timely reconcilaition of statutory contributions 

- Maintain attendance and vacation reporting 

- Maintain headcount reporting 

- Ad hoc reporting and trend analysis as required 

 

What You Bring: 

- 2+ years of payroll experience (processing for roughly 150+ employees) 

- Experience with Payroll and HRMS system  

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English 

- Proficiency in Gsuite and Microsoft Suite including Excel and Word  

 

Nice-to-Have Experience: 

- Payroll designation (PCP) 

- Benefits Administration experience 

- Previous experience in manufacturing or production 

- project management experience including data entry
