About the Role

As a Payroll Integration Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain integration solutions that connect and synchronize payroll systems with other enterprise systems and applications. You will collaborate closely with the HR, Payroll, and IT teams to understand business requirements and ensure smooth data flow between different systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Work with the business to define integration requirements and translate those requirements into technical deliverables.
  • Design and develop advanced system integrations based on functional requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain existing integrations, ensuring high levels of reliability, stability, and performance. Perform end-to-end integration and unit testing.
  • Support and extend development of a custom-built data warehouse solution in SQL Server and Azure.
  • Collaborate with vendors and third-party consultants on technical upgrades and enhancements.
  • Provide ongoing support, training, and technical assistance for integrations to end users. Provide knowledge transfer to team members through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation. Create and maintain technical documentation and support aids for integrations.

  • Strong critical thinking, analytic, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive employee information.
  • Ability to accurately gather information to understand and assess the clients’ needs and situation.

Your preferred qualifications

  • Completion of bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the field of Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology preferred.
  • 3 to 5 Years of Work-Related Experience
  • Proven experience in integration development and ETL/ELT technologies and tools (Talend, SSIS, Boomi, MuleSoft ...).
  • Familiarity with any of the market leading HR & Payroll systems (Workday or Ceridian Dayforce is an advantage) 
  • Experience in creating database and data warehousing models (Microsoft SQL Server).
  • Advanced Microsoft SQL Server skills (Azure skills would be considered an asset).
