Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Personal Care Assistants. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of Personal Care services. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Providing medication reminders and assistance with medication administration
- Assisting with meal preparation and feeding
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks, such as tidying up living areas and doing laundry
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in client's condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals
- Providing specialized care for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments
- Assisting with transfers and mobility as needed
Experience:
- Previous experience in assisted living, caregiving, or senior care is preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus
- Familiarity with dementia care techniques is beneficial
- Ability to provide compassionate care and maintain a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.05-$17.55 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
