What you’ll do:
Provide professional advice on prescriptions, treatment plans and Over- the-Counter (OTC) products in a friendly, courteous and well-informed manner to ensure that clients have an excellent customer experience and patient loyalty is maximized
Prepare, control and dispense medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions
Ensure medication and over the counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs
Whenever necessary, assist the Pharmacy Team Leader with paperwork, scheduling, and other supervisory tasks including organizing and directing technicians' workflow, verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals, order entries, charges, and inspections
Comply with drug laws as regulated by the Alberta College of Pharmacists and maintain records for controlled substances
Provide on-going training for all pharmacy support personnel (technicians, interns, assistants)
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with established health and safety regulation
Ensure adherence to all applicable legislation and excellence in pharmacy practice and professional standards

Who you are:
Post-secondary – Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy and Class A Pharmacists license in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
Demonstrable professional competencies paired with outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Strong technical and analytical skills
Attentive to detail and able to remain calm under pressure
Strong problem-solving skills including the experience formulating and executing action plans
Previous Alberta pharmacy experience is preferred, and previous Co-operative retail experience is deemed an asset
