- Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

- Assist dietitians or nutritionists plan and supervise food service operations
- Design, fabricate and fit ocular prostheses and conformers
- Supervise and direct activities of other medical technologists or technicians
- Help with scheduling and workflow
- Advise patients in the use and care of prostheses and orthoses
- Compound oral solutions, ointments and creams
- Ensure the information on prescriptions is accurate, enter client information in databases and prepare medications for clients
- Maintain inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products
- Advise patients on loss of depth perception
- Set up and dismantle equipment
- Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies
- Compound, package and label pharmaceutical products
- Clean and maintain equipment
- Apply and adjust casts, splints and bandages
- Maintain prescription records and inventories of medications and pharmaceutical products
- Organize and maintain inventory
