SalaryAdecco is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning and Logistics Lead for a Permanent role in Belleville, ON. As the Planning and Logistics Lead, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing freight dollars, negotiating project freight rates, and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations. This position requires a candidate with strong communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

- Freight Logistics Management:
- Review and maximize freight dollars for pending shipments.
- Negotiate project freight rates for Truckload (T/L) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments.
- Lead annual freight vendor rate negotiations.
- Manage spot rate requests and provide quotes to clients.
- Health and Safety Coordination:
- Coordinate Health & Safety compliance objectives.
- Monitor legislative changes in safety regulations.
- Provide safety reporting and documentation.
- Internal Order Management:
- Execute freight claims with vendors.
- Manage client returns, including RMA and Logistics.
- Conduct daily order auditing in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- Post-secondary education in logistics or procurement is preferred.
- Bilingualism (French/English) is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or GED is the minimum requirement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience in JD Edwards is preferred.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
- Ability to use office equipment and lift up to 25 pounds periodically.
