Role Summary

This person will report directly to the General Manager and will be responsible for learning about concrete technology and taking a keen interest in understanding the variables that effect the performance of concrete. In the role of Plant Batch Operator, you will be joining a world-class R&D Services team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems.

Responsibilities include:

  • Using a computerized ready-mix concrete batching system (Command Alkon) to load ready-mix concrete trucks.
  • Learning and understanding the mechanics behind the batch plant to complete basic maintenance and repairs.
  • Interact with the team and customers.

Must Have’s:

  • Be a team player with a positive attitude.
  • A strong knowledge of concrete, and how it’s placed.
  • Knowledge construction and how contractors work.
  • Comfort with technology.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose and solve problems.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Experience with maintaining production equipment.
  • Class 3 license.

An Asset to Have:

  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Experience driving a mixer truck.
