We are currently seeking Plumbers for our various remote Canadian project locations!
Job Requirements:
MATRIX is looking for experienced Journeyman Plumbers that are team oriented and highly motivated person with an attention for details. You will play a key role at one of our remote camps by supporting the team to complete construction of a remote camp. This position reports to the Team Lead.
Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing and general maintenance to gas appliances and lines
- Maintain plumbing systems, fixtures, drinking water treatment and distribution system
- Practice and promote company environmental, health, safety, and operational policies and procedures
- Maintain a daily log of activities and system logs as required
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor which may include duties and labour outside the trade(s)
- Work cooperatively as a member of the Team
- Ensure that safety issues are reported and promptly remedied
- Demonstrate safety leadership within a team environment and promote environmental awareness in all work or task-related duties
- Maintain a high standard of performance in your duties
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time as required by the Company.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years working in a construction field/camp position.
- Certified Journeyman Plumber (Red Seal)
- Gas distribution systems experience is a definite asset to the position
- Furnace maintenance and repair
- Supervisory experience and ability to work without minimal supervision
- Solid verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work a rotation schedule.
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Be in good health and physically lift with the ability to life a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Able to walk and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor.
- Ability to maintain a high level of performance over a 12 hour shift.
Preferred Licensing & Certifications:
· Valid Drivers Licence preferred (Class 1 or heavy haul endorsement an asset)
· Standard First Aid Certification.
· WHIMS Certification.
· Previous experience working in remote camp setting.
· Proficient in all aspects of plumbing repair and replacement.
