Lacombe LSC Sanitation is seeking an enthusiastic team member to fill the position of Portable Truck Driver for our successful and growing sanitation company in the Gloucester and Embrun area.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the delivery and pick up of portable washrooms, self-contained washroom trailers (SCW’s), self-contained lavatories (SCL’s), handwash stations, and hand sanitizer stands.
- Maintain units through servicing schedule – pump out, refill, stock and clean all units on route.
- Responsible for servicing all units on route and any other units assigned for the day by the end of the working day.
- Accountable for the appearance and operation of all units on route. Driver is to ensure each unit is clean and operational for customer usage and conforms to MOL guidelines.
- Document inventory used to restock truck daily.
- Document unit numbers on corresponding route sheets.
- Prepare truck each day with fuel, water, and supplies to ensure readiness by any driver at any given time.
- Maintain appearance and readiness of truck through cleanliness and functionality.
- Ensure constant communication with dispatch team regarding route status, route changes (unit numbers, contact information etc.)
- Responsible for submitting route sheets/documentation in daily (end of day) and ensuing that route sheets are a true snapshot of the driver’s day (Ex. The units on the route sheet match what exactly the driver is servicing).
- Complete all required paperwork associated with the delivery, servicing and pickups of all units, including the disposal of waste at the end of the working day or as required.
- Shop labour as required/assigned including but not limited to washing of units, repair of units, and general shop maintenance.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisory/management team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Possess a G Class License, at a minimum. DZ would be an asset
- Capable of towing a trailer to and from job sites for delivery/pick up of units.
- Able to obtain a clean background check.
- Successful completion or ability to obtain site specific training for industrial access.
- Mechanically inclined with the ability to troubleshoot basic plumbing issues
- Capable of using a company provided cell phone for calls, messaging, map reading/directions.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service.
