The Spark Youth Centre is excited to welcome applications for a dynamic Youth Program Coordinator to join our team. This part-time position is perfect for a experienced and enthusiastic Youth Leader, Early Childhood Educator (ECE), or Educational Assistant (EA). The role involves working 20 flexible hours per week, 3pm-6pm Monday to Friday, to contribute to the continued success of our organization and our

Responsibilities:

As a Youth Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Fostering a culture of inclusivity and support for community youth.
  • Collaborating with the Youth Program Director to design and implement engaging programs.
  • Ensuring adherence to organizational integrity and philosophy.
  • Smooth execution of program plans lead by Youth Program Director, keeping an eye on progress and summarizing the journey in reports that capture highlights, hurdles and achievements.
  • Monthly reporting to the Executive Director.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW), Diploma in Early childhood Education, Diploma in Educational Assistance, Human Service Diploma or related field. Experience in any of these fields will be considered.
  • Proven experience in program marketing to effectively engage the community.
  • Initiative-taking mindset and ensuring the development and implementation of creative ideas to enhance program participation.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized environment, contributing to the safety and well-being of program participants.
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Excel.
