Introduction
Our client is a leading global manufacturer of animal feed products, dedicated to providing high-quality nutrition solutions. With a strong commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a Poultry Sales Representative to join our client's team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and an understanding of poultry operations. This role will primarily involve maintaining and growing our existing customer base in Western Canada, with a focus on the poultry industry.
Responsibilities
- Sales Expertise: Utilize your sales experience to effectively engage with customers, build strong relationships, and promote our range of poultry feed products.
- Industry Knowledge: Leverage your 2+ years of Western Canadian husbandry experience to understand the unique needs and challenges of poultry operations in the region.
- Customer Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with existing customers, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with our products and services.
- Business Growth: Identify opportunities for growth within the existing customer base and work to expand our market presence.
- On-the-Road: This role requires extensive travel (approximately 80%+), so you must be comfortable with frequent road trips within the assigned territory.
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the existing sales team, including another representative based in Lethbridge.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings and be able to communicate their value to customers.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, customer feedback, and market trends.
Qualifications
- Sales Experience: Proven track record in sales, ideally within the agriculture or related industry.
- Industry Experience: 2+ years of Western Canadian husbandry experience, with a focus on poultry operations.
- Education: A mix of relevant education and sales skills may be considered in lieu of extensive industry experience.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently and manage a remote territory effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Driving: A valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively are essential.
- Networking: Existing connections within the Western Canadian poultry industry are a plus.
