As a member of the Cloud Architecture team, you will provide technical leadership on the design and architecture of secure, highly scalable, distributed, and cloud-enabled services. The position requires close collaboration with engineering, product management, service delivery, and others, providing infrastructure architectural definition and ensuring all solutions meet business, security, and operational requirements.
You are great at:
- Partnering with Enterprise Architecture and Product Managers to define and review architectural solutions for standard release cadence and ad-hoc projects.
- Create standardized solutions and architectural blueprints for application, infrastructure, and backing services to ensure optimized deployment and support models for OpenText and 3rd party clouds such as GCP and AWS.
- Collaborates with Engineering and Operations teams throughout product lifecycle providing expertise and direction on deployment, monitoring, logging, scale, security, and business continuity.
- Represent Cloud Architecture in reviewing JDR (joint design reviews) and PCR (product change requests) ensuring appropriate architecture standards and support models are in place.
- Support sales teams in providing new solutions and pricing for new opportunities.
- Stay abreast of the latest technology developments and lead/participate in technology evaluations.
What it Takes:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- 15 years of hands-on IT experience in the design and development of complex systems.
- 5+ years in a solution or technical architect role creating IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline and data center technologies including Jenkins, Vmware, Docker, Kubernetes, Anthos, Terraform, and SDN
- Experience with backing services such as Oracle, Postgres, Kafka, Cassandra, and Elastic Search
- Experience with EDI, particularly with Business Network and Trading Grid.
- Demonstrated knowledge working with GCP and AWS public clouds. Good understanding of cloud-native and microservice fundamentals. Extra points for cloud certifications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated success in delivering high-quality products/services in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Curious, driven, critical thinker, and problem solver.
