The ideal candidate will effectively build collaborative relationships with stakeholders, have a clear and compelling vision for student learning and a desire to lead innovative school improvement initiatives to serve the school community.A Principal is required for Granum School, a K-9 school, operating on a four day week schedule, located in Granum, Alberta.The desired qualifications include the following: Permanent Alberta Professional Teaching Certificate A commitment to meaningfully engage members of the school community to realize school improvement and growth A willingness to explore innovative approaches to learning A willingness to explore community based programming Excellent skills as a visible, accessible, dynamic, innovative and flexible leader Effective communication and interpersonal skills A student centered approach to learning demonstrated by a history of excellent teaching practice Knowledge and implementation of current learning theory as related to instruction and assessment An understanding of, and a commitment to, an inclusive learning environment An awareness of The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and a commitment to the Leader In Me process as the foundation for school improvementSalary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
