Job Summary:
The Process Operator is responsible for refining paste batches into liquid chocolate/compound.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure tools and equipment is in good working order, report any defective materials missing or damaged tools to the supervisor.
- Set refiner rolls to properly grind paste to proper consistency and fineness based on fineness identified on batch system.
- Coordinate with batchmaker to ensure proper consistency of paste mix coming into refiner from the paste area.
- Daily perform any assigned record keeping including waste generation in proper system,
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing experience is an asset.
- Fork lift/truck experience considered an asset.
- Understanding of computer equipment (ex iPad, Microsoft)
Work Environment:
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time; climb stairs, ladders
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, reach to clean areas.
- Daily exposure to noise, dust and a variation in temperature (hot/cold)
- Company provides uniform, hearing, eye, and hair protection. Offers reimbursement for safety footwear and prescription safety glasses.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- 24/7 manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will be required to work rotating 12 hour shifts. This means approximately 14 shifts per month.
Additional Information:
- Wages range between $19 and $21 per hour to start.
- $2.00 per hour shift premium for night shift.
