As a Produce Clerk at Red Barn Market, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the appearance and quality of our produce department. You’ll work closely with our customers, ensuring they have access to the freshest fruits and vegetables. Responsibilities:
- Stocking and Display: Arrange and replenish produce displays, ensuring items are well-presented, labelled, and rotated.
- Quality Control: Inspect produce for freshness, and quality. Remove damaged or expired items promptly.
- Customer Assistance: Assist customers with their produce selections and answer questions.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the produce area clean, organized.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, track expiration dates, and communicate restocking needs to the manager.
- Compliance: Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot quality issues and maintain an attractive display.
- Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and willing to assist customers.
- Physical Stamina: Able to lift and carry heavy boxes and stand for extended periods.
- Team Player: Works well with colleagues and contributes to a positive work environment.
- Availability: Flexible schedule, available evenings and weekends
