JOB TITLE: Production and Parts Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY
The Production and Parts Coordinator plays an extremely important role in the safe and efficient repair of our customer’s vehicle. They are to lead in ordering and receiving parts and are involved in the repair planning of each vehicle appraised and estimated. They are also responsible for overseeing the efforts of the shop. They must have experience in high quality collision repair and be an effective leader with above average management and supervisory skills. Must have an expert understanding of insurance claims procedures and policies. The right candidate must be able to delegate responsibilities to those reporting to them. The key to this position is to train your staff on the expectation of the process, delegate responsibility and manage the processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Host Production and admin release meetings each day
- Work with Front administration to schedule ensure all incoming vehicles are progressively scheduled each day of the week. (hrs incoming per day per tech efficiency)
- Assign the technicians to each vehicle process.
- Ensure all vehicles on site have a Production work order and QA checklist.
- Ensure delivery of vehicles by target delivery date
- Receiving parts for each vehicle that CARSTAR is working on.
- Mirror matching parts to ensure ideal fit.
- Matching purchase orders with invoices.
- Dealing with vendors on incorrect parts (refunds, re-delivery) and communicating with the accounting department of any refunds.
- Posting of parts on our shop management system (Mitchell).
- Scanning all invoices into repair orders.
- Part tagging and organizing of parts with each vehicle.
- Effectively communicating with technicians, appraisers, accounting, and management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of Production experience preferred.
- Experience in Mitchell software preferred.

Salary: $48,000.00-$72,000.00 per year
