Production Manager

Position: Production Manager, Norwood Windows & Doors Division

Norwood Windows & Doors, a Division of West-Wood Industries, is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Production Manager for Doors and Windows. This key leadership role is dedicated to overseeing the entire production process, with a particular focus on equipment optimization, maintenance, and operational efficiencies. Preference will be given to candidates with woodworking experience or a demonstrated aptitude for woodworking processes.

Location: Scoudouc, New Brunswick

Responsibilities:

• Production Oversight:
• Manage and supervise the production of doors and windows to meet quality standards and production schedules.
• Implement and optimize production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and motivate a team of production staff, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
• Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of the production team.
• Quality Assurance:
• Implement and maintain quality control measures throughout the production process.

· Work closely with the quality assurance team to address any issues and continuously improve product quality.

• Equipment Optimization:
• Evaluate existing machinery and production equipment to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment is properly maintained and downtime is minimized.
• Maintenance Management:
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for all production equipment.
• Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to address issues promptly and minimize disruptions to production.
• Efficiency Enhancement:
• Analyze production workflows to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
• Implement strategies to increase overall production efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Safety

· Collaborating with the Joint Health and Safety Committee to ensure production staff met all safety measures and standards

• Woodworking Experience or Aptitude:
• Preference will be given to candidates with a background or demonstrated aptitude in woodworking processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in production management, with a focus on equipment optimization and efficiency.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of production processes and quality control.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using relevant software and tools.
