Production Planner

Primary responsibilities will be to work and consult with the Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Manufacturing teams to ensure production is planned in accordance with customer requirements

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure compliance to all customer and drawing specifications
• Process and review work orders to update ENG Masters
• Review and update ENG Masters and Part Masters to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Schedule internal services by creating and issuing work orders, QC sheets and drawings
• Process, review, update and assemble work orders for production
• Issue purchase requests for supplier components
• Take corrective actions to expedite customer requirements as required
• Attend continuous improvements meetings and complete projects, as required
• Understand the Fabris Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) and Quality Management System (QMS)

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or minimum 5 years’ experience in product processing/planning and scheduling in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of machine shop, fabrication and assembly operations, procedures and processes
• Knowledge of inventory control and management
• Experience reading and interpreting 2D drawings
• Experience with Visual Manufacturing ERP
• Experience with quoting/estimating an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
