Autotube Limited is a progressive and growing auto parts manufacturer with plants located in Strathroy and Watford. Autotube manufactures and sells parts directly to General Motors, Stellantis, Ford and Toyota.
As a result of Autotube’s expected growth, we have a need for a Production and Logistics Planner. Autotube prides itself on being a larger, family-owned business that provides a flexible and accommodating working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Shipping
- Ensure all shipments go out on time to all customers with correct paperwork including all necessary information (Production & SPO)
- Confirm shipment schedules in customer portals by required deadlines
- Complete any internal/special shipments as required for office staff or prototype
- Customer
- Main point of contact for any customer communication related to shipping and order changes
- Work in Customer Portals by deadlines for any shipping related changes
- Work on label requirements for any new labels or changes as outlined from customer
- Work with customers when in shortage or excess – maintaining an accurate inventory at all times
- Maintain expendable packaging stock – ordering as needed
- Monitor EDI changes and communicate to team any changes as necessary
- Customs
- Complete any USMCA, CTPAT, AALA, NAFTA, COO documents as required for each customer as requested in the proper systems
- Complete any paperwork required for cross-border or inter-Canada shipments for internal movement of parts
- Problem Solving
- Take appropriate action for any discrepancies in shipments – including investigation and communication with appropriate parties
- Teamwork
- Work with Pack & Assembly Supervisor to schedule and prioritize jobs through work cells and Outside Service to meet customer requirements
- Work with Pack & Assembly Team to design new packaging and work through customer approvals
- Work with Materials Coordinator to identify problems or bottlenecks that may cause delays/missing shipments
- Leadership
- Manage shipping department to ensure defined practices are followed
- Other
- Back up Materials Co-Ordinator position
- Statutory Holiday work typically required
Successful candidates will have:
- College or University degree
- Exceptional knowledge and proficiency in Excel
- 3-5 years of experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Manufacturing background
- Proven record of continuous improvement and trouble shooting
- Leadership experience
