Production Plant Supervisor

Responsibilities / duties:

JOB DESCRIPTION

· Coordinate, plan and direct the production of finished goods in accordance to established schedules, priorities forecasting and track progress

· Work closely with various departments for projects, changes to production processes, tests, etc.

· Assure requisitions for raw material and packaging are submitted in a timely manner

· Control and reduce production costs by streamlining (optimize the use of production personnel)

· Assure control reports and production data are filled properly

· Leading role in optimizing safety to achieve zero workplace accidents, participate in the health and safety committee - implement preventative and proactive strategies

· Maintain the workplace and equipment clean and secure, ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards - create and modify quality and safety documents and policies

· Maintain a good professional relationship with employees, ensure discipline, and resolve labor disputes by being fair and equitable

· Aim to empower employees in their work, encourage their involvement in continuous improvement projects and foster communication and teamwork

· Integrate new employees according to the established orientation protocol

· Ensure that all employees are up to date on training and provide annual trainings to all employees (continuous education)

· Ensure that all ISO 9001:2015 and GMP standards are being followed to maintain certification

· Inform his/her superior of any pertinent information relevant to the department activities

· Any other tasks deemed necessary by management

QUALITY CONTROL:

· Follow and comply with all manufacturing and distribution procedures while addressing and correcting any non-conformances

· In conjunction with equipment department Implement a preventative maintenance program

· Ensure quality control measures are completed throughout the manufacturing process (raw materials and finished goods)

REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

· Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering (a plus)

· Experienced in a chemical manufacturing environment

· Supervisory management experience - 5 years

· Ability to work in a team, positive leadership

· Excellent communication skills, must be fluent in French and English

· Knowledge of software (Windows, Outlook)
