Trecan Combustion is a Canadian-owned company. For over 35 years, we have been designing and manufacturing Snowmelters. We export our product around the world to airports, cities, snow contractors and other customers.

Trecan’s technical history is steeped in combustion technology and thermal efficiency. Our Snowmelters are the most energy efficient available, due to our submerged combustion system. The submerged combustion method transfers heat energy from the combustion process to water and snow in the melting tank through direct contact.

Our products also include IT-enabled remote monitoring capability.

For these reasons and more, our Snowmelters are considered “the industry standard”.

THE ROLE

Production Support

Supporting our Production Manager, Shop Foreman and Team Leads, you will be responsible for many administrative tasks required to keep the production department operating efficiently.

As Production Support, you will have excellent organizational, planning and time management skills (this cannot be stressed enough). You will use these skills to create all our project jobs in our ERP system, print work-orders, and maintain detailed production-related documents among many other tasks. If you have Syspro experience, that is a double bonus.

On any given day, you will be maintaining outstanding parts lists, maintaining the painter's logbook, taking pictures of our Snowmelters before shipping and updating the many reports, spreadsheets and documents Trecan requires to run their projects smoothly. At least an intermediate level of excel will be required for this position.

You will attend weekly Production meetings and maintain meeting minutes. You will need to be comfortable in a manufacturing setting as you will be on the shop floor just as much as being in your office. A safety-minded individual you must be.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Post-Secondary education/equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-years in a similar role. Ideally working in Manufacturing or Construction.
• Multi-tasking and Prioritization skills.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent knowledge working in ERP systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
