Professional Assistant:

This position is for someone who is looking to continually learn, use their knowledge and problem-solving skills to tackle problems and be a key support a technical inspector and engineering team. You will directly answer to the president of the company and work closely with him to create success for the team.
Matec Consultants Ltd. Specializes in the inspection and certification of heavy-duty equipment such as cranes, concrete pumps, excavators, trailers and lifting devices. Our specially trained inspectors and engineers work to ensure that our client’s workforce is safe when operating their equipment. This field is fast-paced, with some ups and downs in the workflow which at times can be demanding.
You will be expected to NOT be a drone. On the contrary, your views and opinions will be valued and respected. I have expectations for you, that you will create efficiency in your work through creative collaboration.
Needs
- An excellent command of the English language.
- Quickbooks experience ( can be learned) but an ability to work with invoices and numbers.
- A positive attitude and desire to problem solve.
- Not afraid to call people. Able to be persuasive, kind but firm.
- Honesty.
- Team oriented.
Your Tasks:
- Support the senior engineers by writing / translating their reports into well written documents for both certifications and legal opinions.
- Taking field technicians notes and creating folders and documents from templates or past reports for the speedy completion of certification documents.
- Translating draft invoices into Quickbooks invoices which are sent to the client.
- Communicate with clients to schedule or remind them that their machines are due for an inspection. Managing a client list and directory. Exploring the option of automated texts, calls and or emails with regards to the this “Renewal” reminders.
- Accounts receivable – call, email and remind people of their outstanding bills.
- General bookkeeping support, receipts, expenses etc however, We have an outside third party book keeping service.
- Maintaining the office environment. This could be assisting in the decoration or provide inspiration for the office environment.
- Scheduling services such as cleaning or paying for bills.
- To do technical research.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
