Program Cook

We are looking for a relief cook for our daycare program

Responsibilities:

• Coordinates daily food supply inventory for cafeteria. Submits order to supervisor.
• Adheres to proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures; maintains temperature and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) logs as required; and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.
• Contributes to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with supervisor.
• Ensures smooth operation of kitchen and meal services.
• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
• Completes cleaning according to daily and weekly schedules and dishwashing/pot washing as needed.
• Busses meals to classrooms and cleans up accordingly.

If you have a childcare level you will be eligible for top up, which may bring the pay to $17-25 per hour.

• 7.25-8 hour shift per day
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

• Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Work Location: In person

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
