Job Summary : As a Field Manager at Egger Excavating Ltd., you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating all on-site activities related to our excavating projects. You will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards and customer expectations. Your attention to detail, leadership skills, and industry expertise will contribute to our continued success and reputation as a trusted excavation service provider.

Core Responsibilities:

• Conduct morning meetings or calls with customers to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
• Perform site inspections to check for locates and potential hazards, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Coordinate with office administration to procure necessary materials and equipment for each project.
• Oversee equipment operations and maintenance, addressing breakdowns and scheduling repairs as needed.
• Supervise field personnel, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to timelines.
• Monitor project budgets and timelines, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and optimize project outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, inspections, and safety documentation.
• Uphold company policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction.

Non-Core Responsibilities:

• Assist with Implementing Jobtread software as a tool to help organize and streamline our process.
• Provide input for truck wrap designs and other sales tools to enhance brand visibility.

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Conduct morning meetings with field crews
• Conduct update calls with customers
• Perform site inspections for locates and hazards
• Coordinate with office admin for materials procurement
• Address equipment breakdowns and schedule repairs
• Supervise field personnel and monitor project progress
• Maintain project documentation and records

Position Fit within Organization: The Field Manager position is integral to Egger Excavating Ltd.'s operations, serving as a liaison between office administration, field personnel, and customers. You will work closely with General Manager and other team members to ensure the successful completion of excavating projects while upholding our company values and standards.

Qualifications:

Hard Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction or excavation industry.
• Strong knowledge of excavation equipment and Septic systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (JobTread) and Microsoft Office suite.

Salary and Benefits: $75,000 - $95,000 / year Salary to align with experience and qualifications. Benefits package including healthcare and vacation time.
