Title: Internal Project Manager
Location Onsite: Beamsville, ON. CANADA
Description:
The Project Manager role will require the expertise and diverse skill set to successfully manage each project from start to finish. This individual must be organized, able to multi-task, and able to communicate effectively. The Project Manager will be responsible for 25+ projects with values over 100k at any given time. The Project Manager will have accessibility to a strong team of people executing the work, therefore enabling the Project Manager to direct priorities to ensure a high level of on-time delivery.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Identify project goals, needs and scope.
- Plan, monitor and document tasks throughout each project.
- Manage all resources necessary for successful completion.
- Organize kick off meetings between sales rep and all necessary team members so that everyone understands the project right from the start.
- Set and track project milestones to ensure the project stays on schedule for the customers ship date.
- Forsee and eliminate road blocks and potential risks.
- Make adjustments to project schedules based on current information (customer needs have changed, material delays, other trades delaying progress on site, etc.).
- Effective communication of changes throughout the company.
- Organize closing meetings with all team members involved in the kick off meeting to recap the project and learn from ‘what went right?’ and ‘what went wrong?’.
Accountabilities:
- Effective process to transition project information from the sales team to the internal teams that will deliver product to the customer. (Kick-off meetings)
- Effective process for tracking project milestones, using software provided.
- Effective process for capturing pain points throughout the projects and recommending ways to improve the processes to upper management.
Education & Qualifications:
- Certification or degree of Project Management
- 5 years of experience of managing projects
- Leadership and effective communication skills
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Problem solving and adaptability skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office programs and email
Remuneration:
The position is salary based and remuneration will be negotiated based on knowledge, skills and education. Vacation time and standard health benefit package are offered after successful completion of probationary period.
