The Maintenance Technician’s primary responsibility is to perform day to day Property Maintenance and address maintenance concerns from both residential and commercial tenants.
Duties will include but will not be limited to:
o Completing all daily maintenance calls
o Conduct any necessary minor repairs to the property/equipment (i.e. painting, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, locks, windows, doors.)
o Monitor the property for health & safety concerns
o Ensure the overall appearance of all the properties are maintained to a high standard
o Assist external contractors with repairs/inspections (i.e. HVAC, trades people, etc.)
o Provide exceptional customer service to all clients
o Be available to be on call , after hours, for at least one week/weekend a month, possibly more depending on staffing
o Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
o Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
o 3 years experience in similar employment
o Ability to operate power tools
o Valid Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract is mandatory
o Basic PC skills
o CPR and First Aid certification an asset
o Communicate clearly, concisely, professionally and convey active listening and openness
o Produce accurate work with attention to detail and consistently meet deadlines
