WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Psychological Associate will work collaboratively providing expert clinical psychological service to clients of the POP Clinic, focused on understanding how the mind, body, and behaviour interact in health and disease.
The Psychological Associate practices in accordance with the Professional Standards of the College of Psychologists of Ontario and is licensed to provide psychological services.
This Psychological Associate position will work collaboratively with the entire inter-professional POP Clinic team to provide psychological support for patients and their families. The Psychological Associate conducts specialized psychological assessments and implements a range of treatment modalities, provides information, consultation, and education on psychological issues relating to child and family development, mental health, cognitive/behavioural issues, impact of chronic disease on family members, childhood obesity, and feeding disorders.
The Psychological Associate will work collaboratively with team members to provide care for patients and families of the POP Clinic. Care provided meets the provincial mandates and standards of practice.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Member of College of Psychologists of Ontario
Three years clinical experience and demonstrated skill in child and family assessment and treatment, and in inter-disciplinary and inter-agency collaboration.
Registration as a Psychological Associate or a Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
Three years’ experience in a health care setting preferred
