Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, this position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned guest’s rooms and public areas of the Resort.
Key Accountabilities:
- Making beds, changing linen, vacuuming and cleaning as per policies and procedure
- Providing the rooms with fresh towels and toiletries
- Restocking inventories as required
- Answering guests’ questions
- Checking that TVs, radios, lights and AC/Heating are in proper working order
- Dusting and polishing furniture
- Scrubbing floors, walls and windows as required
- Emptying and cleaning waste paper baskets and ashtrays
- Removing linens and garbage to appropriate bins
- Shampooing carpets as directed and required
- Reporting damages to Team Leader or Manager
- Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualification Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Previous housekeeping experience an asset
Work Environment Considerations: Some exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, fumes, dirt, chemicals, standing for long periods of time, carrying, lifting, pulling, pushing, non-traditional work hours
