Purchasing and Logistics Clerk - Part Time

About the Job

• Work with our warehouse team to coordiante the purchase of finished goods and parts.
• Track orders and quotes to proactively ensure stocking quantities.
• Coordinate delivery of goods from domestic and overseas suppliers, including shipping and customs clearances.
• Manage stocking levels in our main High River warehouse and delivery to our satellite warehouses.
• Communicate with overseas suppliers from a variety of countries.
• Work with our R&D team to purchase sample parts, raw materials, and tools.
• Coordinate with our sales and management teams to identify new products and suppliers.

Job Requirements:

• This job requires a highly organized individual who can track dozens of shipments moving at the same time.
• Ability to learn and use computer programs to manage inventory and shipments.
• Familiarity with concepts and processes of business logistics including freight, stock management, customs clearance, and purchase orders.
• Ability to build relationships with suppliers and interact with people from a diversity of cultures.

Margo Supplies manufactures, imports, and distributes environmentally friendly wildlife management technology. Our head office is located in High River, AB, a 20-minute drive away from South Calgary. We specialize in non-lethal products that exclude birds and large mammals from control areas in agriculture, aviation, resource extraction, and recreation industries. Our newest product line is wildlife tracking collars that are used to assist scientific study and conservation of animals.
