Quality Assurance team memberQuality Assurance Assistant

Key Success Factors:

  • Perform and complete each task to the best of your ability, as per the provided training, and always meet the organizational schedule and timelines
  • Label reviews and approvals must be conducted with 100% accuracy and released to the packaging team per the schedule. Any scheduled risk is provided to the manager within 24 hours of identification.
  • All batch records are gathered and reviewed for 100% accuracy and completeness before QAP’s final review and approval. Any identified discrepancies must be notified to QAP within 24 hours.
  • Ensure all NCRs are reported within one business day to QAP and are fully documented within 3 days of reporting. Any assigned actions related to the action plan must be completed within the stipulated time agreed with QAP.
  • Assisted QAP with process development and SOP revisions, including developing new SOPs.
  • Assist QAP with QMS, Inventory Management, Sanitation and other QA Programs.
  • Complete all tasks. Able to communicate effectively in fast-paced, loud environments.
  • Serve as an integral Quality Assurance team member, interact/communicate cross-functionally to ensure business objectives are aligned, and ensure that the organization meets its quality, regulatory and business objectives.

  • At least one to two years of QA experience in the cannabis or manufacturing industries.
  • Cannabis Industry experience and good knowledge of GPP and Cannabis Regulations. GMP experience is a plus
  • Complete batch record compilation review documents for accuracy before QAP's signoff
  • Understand COAs specifications, limits and results for various tests performed at third party labs.
  • Ability to write proficiently and revise FORMS and SOPs
  • Communicate production issues that have the potential to affect quality or schedule compliance to the appropriate Operations Frontline Manager.
  • Be honest about mistakes & failures, so we can work as a team to improve

  • Attend work on time as scheduled
  • Perform all operational tasks in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Preparation of cannabis samples to be transferred to approved 3rd party testing laboratories
  • Involve in process changes and be a champion in fulfilling change management.
  • Develop and Create (not approve) Standard Operating Procedures in the areas of sanitation program and other manufacturing process
  • Review (not approve) Standard Operating Procedures
  • Review (not approve) deviation reports/non-conformance reports and follow up actions from these reports
  • Review (not support) laboratory analyses, follow up on specification results and batch records for release
  • Review (not approve) of new materials using internal material approval process
  • Review (not approve) receipt of all incoming cannabis
  • Perform in-house audits and audits of external service providers (e.g. lab services)
  • Review and follow up on customer complaints, adverse reactions
  • Assist with Recalls, Mock Recalls, Label Approvals, Third-party vendor qualifications and other QA processes
  • Assist in improving and maintaining the cannabis inventory management system
  • Perform Inventory Management System related duties assigned by the Manager
  • Assist in enhancing QA records management, Supplier, and Cannabis Vendor Audits
  • Assist in ensuring sight security meets requirements
  • Provide input to licensing applications, review applications, and assist in follow-up with Health Canada
  • Assist with Health Canada inspections and follow-up activities
  • Assist QAP and QA department with Document Management.
