We are currently seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Assistant to permanently join our team.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:

• Product inspection - incoming, in process and outgoing product
• Assist shop operators to solve any manufacturing problems (tolerancing, fitting, welding)
• Evaluate the materials routinely used during production and components during production by running specific tests of quality.
• Operate CMM arm whenever necessary to verify critical dimensions during production and at the final inspection.
• Assist with creating documentation required by customers – FPI, FAI, PPAP any custom requirements.
• Assist with/ perform internal ISO Audits
• Prepare required quality documents and reports.
• Help with any other quality tasks appointed by QA Manager
• Use SolidWorks CAD software frequently
• Accurately interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Work with various hand tools, power tools as needed (drill, grind and deburr parts)
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, weld fillet gauges, and protractors to ensure correct dimensions and angles
• Unload & load parts with a crane and/or manually
• General shop cleanup
• Inspect the quality of parts being produced
• Follow all company rules and policies
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards

Position Requirements:

• Degree or diploma or related experience
• Excellent attention to detail
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way
• Strong team player
