Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Quality control & CMM Inspector role in the Evening Shift at Apex Precision Inc. located in Saint-Lazare, QC. The CMM Inspector will be responsible for performing in-process/final inspections using optical comparators, hand-held measuring tools, and CMM machines in accordance with established quality procedures and work instructions. The CMM Inspector will also document inspection results, maintain inspection records, and report non-compliance issues. Additionally, the CMM Inspector will participate in continuous improvement activities as needed.

The job hours are flexible and will be agreed on with the candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience as a CMM Inspector, with proficiency in reading engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience using a variety of inspection equipment such as CMMs, optical comparators, and other hand-held measuring tools
• Understanding of precision aerospace manufacturing requirements and experience working with aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and plastics
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge in ERP/MRP systems
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment with little supervision while meeting tight deadlines
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Flexibility to work Evening Shifts
• Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field is an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
