QUALITY CONTROLINSPECTOR PIPING & STRUCTURAL FABRICATION – SHOP / FIELD

Carbonex is looking to hire a determined Quality Control Inspector Piping & Structural Fabrication – Shop Field for our Whitecourt Fabrication Division.

Qualifications & Required Job Tasks

CWB Level 1 Inspector is recommended

Previous experience in Spoolfab / Acorn Pipe ISO Drawings is preferred or able to learn.

Conduct visual weld inspections. Material & NDE mapping. Prepare Quality Forms. Review reports

Knowledge of codes and standards, provincial safety act is required

Reports to Quality Control Manager (QCM)

Ability to multitask

Time Management

Prioritization

Resolve non conformances

Review Weld procedures and welder qualification

Ensure QMS Manual implementation, organize, solid document control and the retention of records

Tickets (Additional)

• First Aid
• H2S
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License w/ clean abstract
• Client Specific Orientation for Occasional onsite visits

Required tasks but not limited to:

Working with Microsoft excel, word (entering data and creating spread sheets and tables)

Bluebeam from document mark ups to digitizing final turnovers

Ensure all quality related codes, WPS and client specifications are being met.

Take detailed information from client IFC’s and specs and build an ITP for client approvals

Read and interpret ABSA, Z662, ASME and CWB codes to implement during project work

Work in a fast paced environment

Review and verify MTR’s

Preparing torque reports

Issuing drawings to the shop for fabrication

Weld Parameters

Material receiving

Witnessing of hydrotesting

Completing QC package from the start of the project and for final turnovers

Completing ABSA related documents such as AB81, AB83 and AB40’s

Working with a great team to achieve the highest level of quality
