Scovan is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Ponoka, immediately! This position offers stable, full-time hours with an opportunity to grow and learn from our hard-working team!

Duties:

• Weld Inspection – structural steel, piping, and miscellaneous in-process and finished materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Pressure testing of piping and pipe assemblies.
• Data entry and spreadsheet updates.
• Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work, inputting data into a quality database.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures
• Act as a liaison between Scovan and client organizations to ensure deliverables are met

Requirements:

• Certified Inspector – CWB Level I or II, API 510 or 570
• Module yard experience considered an asset
• Experience with CAD/Navisworks Simulate
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Ability to report results in a timely and complete manner
• Promote process improvements
• Strongly supports innovation and thinking without a box

Tickets required:

• CSTS2020
• AWP
• Fall Arrest
• WHMIS 2015
• CWB Level I or II (ASME B31.3 or CSA W59 Endorsement)

Details:

• Full-time hours - Typical shift is Monday to Thursday, 10-hours per day.
• Shifts may vary based on workload requirements.
• All work is completed in our industrial module yard in Ponoka, Alberta. No need to travel.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25.00-$39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
