RECE Childcare Supervisor

Our licensed childcare is expanding and is seeking an energetic and motivated self-starting Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team!

Requirements:

Diploma/Bachelor in Early Childhood Education, Registration with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators

Four (4) years experience as a Registered Childhood Educator, an asset

Current CPR and First Aid Certificate

Immunization & TB Test

Current Vulnerable Sector Check

Knowledge of ELECT and How Does Learning Happen Framework and Pedagogy

Ability to lead teams with positive communication skills, teambuilding, flexibility, and professionalism are mandatory.

General Base Responsibilities (for full job description, contact Centre):

• College of ECE Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice are maintained always.
• Interviewing and hiring staff as needed
• Monitor, supervise and lead staff and programs
• Enforce policies and procedures
• Maintain licensing expectations
• Monitor attendance
• Complete mandatory reporting requirements
• Maintain child and staff records
• Meet and review inspection reports and follow-up as needed
• Maintain open and honest communication with Childcare Administrator and Board of Directors
• Give family tours and enroll children in Programs
• Assist with kitchen meal planning
• Hold and attend Meetings and Workshops as needed (may be outside of normal operating hours i.e evenings)
• Maintain neat and clean appearance
• Notify Centre in the event of an illness and name Supervisor Designate
• Work with all staff members and people affiliated with the Child's Paradise Daycare Centres in a cooperative manner
• Maintain a safe environment.
• Follow the Personnel Policies of the Child's Paradise Daycare Centres.

• Personal childcare spaces prioritized.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
